Carbon Block filters are manufactured by compressing finely powdered activated carbon with a binding agent, which occupies only a small portion of the filter’s surface area. This design allows untreated water to pass through the sides of the carbon block, where contaminants are effectively adsorbed before the purified water exits through the outlet. The finer the carbon particles, the greater the available surface area, resulting in enhanced filtration performance.
